Collaboration to enhance accessibility and inclusion in Europe

UCERT is among the 22 partners from four European countries (Greece, Sweden, Spain and Italy) that make up the consortium implementing the AccessCoVE project, which represents an innovative model of collaboration between educational institutions, public bodies and businesses. This is the European Centre of Vocational Excellence in Accessibility for individuals with disabilities and the elderly.

Within the framework of this project, knowledge will be gathered and developed for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) of future accessibility experts.

UCERT, an active partner in the AccessCoVE project, has committed to design and develop the professional profiles for the professional specialties of Accessibility Consultant and Accessibility Certifier, along with the corresponding certification schemes for persons that will be evaluated and accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) prior to their final implementation (conducting exams with remote supervision (teleproctoring) and issuing certificates to successful candidates) upon completion of the corresponding training programs that will be conducted by members of the consortium in all 4 countries.
